Over the last year, members of IFLA and IALL have worked together to host workshops in Africa for law librarians there to help them build their network and strengthen their libraries. This session will focus on a "thought leader" in the profession. What is it? Why should I become one? How is a thought leader different than a leader? What core values can you bring to the table to make you a thought leader?
I am thinking a panel of leaders to discuss "thought leadership" with examples and interactive exercises.
Many of us are fortunate enough to have outstanding colleagues, but keeping them engaged and feeling supported can be a challenge depending on resources, institutional and cultural barriers/norms.
