It is possible that collaborative programs exist between U.S. Librarians and Librarians in Other Countries. Semester abroad programs (or shorter versions) would aim to provide FCIL librarians with emersion in the laws, language, history, and culture of a jurisdiction they are interested in. It is quite common to look outside of the library to fill vacant positions, when oftentimes there is an abundance of experienced and qualified candidates from within the organization. How can we find ways to tap into that pool and to motivate, cultivate and grow our current team.
